Breakdown of the GovGuam
budget request for Guam military buildup
Guam Governor Felix Camacho made a
formal request of $237.8 million to the Office of Management and Budget last week, outlining 11 areas
where GovGuam needs assistance in supporting the influx of military personnel and their dependents.
The biggest chunk, more than 70%, would go to infrastructure improvements including modernization of
the Guam's port, reservoir repairs, and roads and bridges (dark blue, below). The rest, nearly $70
million, would be split up among ten other areas.
